- Experience: At least 02 (Two) years' experience of driving in any Government organization/ Quasi Government organization/ Registered Pvt. Ltd. Co., etc.

Application Form: Prescribed format may be downloaded from the West Bengal Police Website (https://wbpolice.gov.in). The application must be printed on white A4-size paper.
Documents to be attached: Self-attested copy of Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Driving License, Educational qualification certificates & Experience certificate.
One recent passport-size photograph (4.5 cm × 3.5 cm), self-attested, to be pasted on the top right of the application.
Application must be submitted personally (not by post) in the DROP BOX during office hours at: MT Section of Directorate of Security, 31/A Belvedere Road, Alipore, Kolkata-700027 (Beside Bhabani Bhawan) by 5 Pm of 27.02.2026.
Envelope must be superscribed as: "APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF DRIVER (CONTRACTUAL), 2026".
The last date for submission of the application is 27.02.2026 by 5:00 pm.
Selection Procedure
Driving Test & Interview: The shortlisted Candidates submitting valid applications will be called for the Driving Test and Interview. [Full Marks - 40 (Driving Test - 20 & Interview - 20)]. A Merit List of provisionally selected candidates will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained.
Medical Examination: Provisionally selected candidates will have to undergo a medical fitness test at the Kolkata Police Hospital.
Verification of Character and Antecedents: Selected candidates are requested to submit a Police Clearance Certificate from the PCC portal of WB Police (https://pcc.wb.gov.in) at the time of joining.
Date of Selection: Driving Test & Interview of the shortlisted candidates will be held as per the following schedule:
Uploading of shortlisted candidates: List of shortlisted candidates will be uploaded on 28.02.2026 on the official website of WBP (https://wbpolice.gov.in) & also displayed in the Notice Board of the Directorate of Security, WB at Alipore.
Driving Test: 01.03.2026 from 9 am onwards.
Interview: 02.03.2026 from 10 am onwards.
Place: Office of the Directorate of Security, 31/A Belvedere Road, Alipore, Kolkata-700027 (Beside Bhabani Bhawan)
Result of Selection: Final list of selected candidates will be displaced in the Notice Board of the Directorate of Security, WB at Alipore.
